Easyjet or Meridiana?
 

Please help me decide.

Have to reach Florence from London.

Have a choice between flying from London Gatwick to Florence airport using Meridiana airlines.

Or...

Fly from London Stansted to Bologna main airport using Easyjet.

The price for both taking into account all transfers is roughly the same.

The Meridiana option is more direct - less hassle. Like flying out Gatwick instead of Stansted. And it lands directly in Florence instead of having to transfer from Bologna airport to train to Florence which is what will happen with Easyjet.

But I'm concerned about Meridiana's record. I've read a lot of not-so-favourable posts on this board and others complaining about cancellations. Meanwhile, Easyjet seems to have a reliable record.

Am I reading too much into these things?

Do I go with the one that has the most convenient route but sketchy record according to forums, or do I go with the less convenient route but with a seemingly trusted airline?

And, yes, I've looked into Ryanair. It's not an option at this time.

Please help.

Hi wouldbe,

I've been looking at the various options to Florence as well.

I'm leaning towards Easyjet just because it seems to be consistently reliable. Have seen complaints about Meridiana as well.
