Easyjet booking problem

We are trying to book some flights to and from Sicily in March. I can select the flights onthe Easyjet website and when it is time to pay I get an error code that says ej2 exception. I looked it up inline and it appears that this is an issue that has plagued Easyjet. I e-mailed them and they emailed back today to call the number onthe website and book over the phone. The number does not work.

Has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone have another number. I have used them several times and have never had any problem booking from the Unites States. I need to go from Rome to Sicily and then from Sicily to Paris. They have the best options if only i could get it to work.

Thanks

lrock, you say that you have no problem when booking from the US - where are you trying to book from this time?

i did a dummy purchase and got as far as the payment page, so obviously I couldn't go any further.

when phoning, have you allowed for the fact that you may need to omit [or add] a 1 at the beginning of the number? have you e-mailed them back with your phone problem?

sorrry i can't offer more help.

Can you give us the number they told you and where you are? Perhaps you are dialling it incorrectly? I have never had an issue so can't help with the error.

i have had similar problem with air asia in asia.. i solved it by only using internet explorer, not my servicer on my computer... or try a neighbor's computer, or a different computer

I tried my laptop also and then tried dumping cookies also. We have booked from the Us previously with no problem. The number on the Easyjet website is is 44 843 104 5454. I am adding the 011 first from the US. I have e-mailed them back and haven't heard back. The alternative number I found is 871-244-2377. A recording answers and says it is Easyjet and then it rings and rings. Just wondered if anyone had another number.

Try 44 843 104 5000

Its the customer service number for UK callers.

The other number you called was for Rest of the World callers - but both are English speaking and go through to the UK (or India!)

When I call 44 843 104 5000 it tells me it is not in service

OK I understand what's happening

0843 numbers are special rate numbers only for callers within the UK

This website gives alternative "normal" numbers which you will be to access from outside the UK

you'll need to search for easyjet in the search field - good luck

Try a different browser. Sometimes websites are only compatible with certain browsers.

is it the credit card? Is this the first time you've used that card to book on the website?

Thanks to all who responded. It was apparently my home phone. It went straight through to the call center in India on my cell phone though i probably just spent the equivalent to another ticket getting it all done on the phone!! I got through on the 5000 number. Everything is now booked and it is all correct (names, flights etc). The only issue I am wondering about is the checked luggage. I am not sure he got that right but I will fix it tomorrow!! All in all it was cheaper and I can get a straight flight to Paris from Sicily. Again, thanks for the help!!
