Easyjet baggage question

Per their web site Easyjet allows 20 kilo per person check on. With 4 of us travling with 4 check on bags can one weigh over 20 as long as all 4 do not exceed 80 kilos, without an extra per kilo charge?

Thanks,

Sam

In my experience yes. They have weaighed al the bags and arrived at a total which they have then compared to the number in the party. In the UK they tend to enforce the limit very diligently but seem less bothered on the continent at check in.

i understand if the luggage belongs to people who have reserved on same reservation you can pool your luggage.

p.s. they have also become more lenient with carry on weight.

I think they do pool the weight but be careful as there may be a maximum weight they will allow per case. I know Australia baggage handlers are not allowed to pick up cases over 30kg, we had to split ours up en route a couple of trips ago.
It may not apply here for easy jet in the same way but may be worth considering.
