EasyHotel - Earls Court
Has anyone stayed at this accomodation? I am looking for accomodation in London for two ladies, but not too pricey. I have read one report which tells of a noisy airconditioner or garage of some sorts, I was going to book Easyhotel however this has put me off. Has anybody stayed at his accomodation. You advice is sought.

That was my report. You might want to read the section on easyHotel in full:

I stayed at the Earls Court Easyhotel a couple of years ago. I am not to picky but I would not stay there again. Its just way to small and I found it uncomfortable with no windows and no place to put any luggage ( And We pack extremely light) Have you had a look at priceline and/or Hotwire. Much better values there, in May of this year we stayed at a 4 star hotel near Regents park for a lot less than Easyhotel's rates.

"<i>noisy airconditioner</i>" Trust me - a noisy a/c would be the very least of your problems. why, why, WHY would anyone stay in that orange hole when one can stay in 1) university accomodations, 2) a Victoria area tourist class hotel, or even 3) a 4 star full-service hotel using priceline -- and have a normal sized bathroom, and not have to pay extra for a window(!), housekeeping, a TV or anything else.
easyHotel is not cheap. And when you add the fees for regular creature comforts it is actually pretty expensive. |
Dear crzn1
Do you have the name of the hotel you stayed at in Regents Park or any suggestions of hotels. Thanks Karen |
Dear crzn1
It me again I had a look on hotwire, seems pretty okay. Do you get a good room/hotel when you book through this website. I am a bit dubious. It the 4 star the way to go. |
We booked through Priceline and recieved the:
Hilton London Metropole (May 2008) 225 Edgware Road London, W2 1JU United Kingdom 011-44-207-402-4141 Total USD $98 per night. I am not sure why, but at first they had trouble finding our reservation, after about a 10 minute wait they upgraded us to a suite! This hotel is about a 5 minute walk to Paddington station and there is a tube station right across the street. Have a look at BiddingForTravel.com b4 using Priceline. I have had great experiences with Priceline in London and Budapest as well as several places in the US and Canada. |
We stayed at Henley House Hotel in Earls Court recently and would stay there again. Nothing fancy but clean, nice continental breakfast, close to the tube and shops, cafes etc. We paid 79 pounds per night incl. tax and breakfast. You can also book this hotel on www.londontown.com We have used Londontown for booking a few times and they have been good.

So long as you are careful about choosing a reasonably-located zone, any 4* hotel on Hotwire or Priceline is going to be leaps and bounds ahead of Easyhotel. Check out betterbidding.com .
