Easy Tour Ireland

My husband recently returned from a tour in Ireland where he rented a car through Easy Tour Ireland. After seeing other posts on Fodor's about wanting to pay for car rental in euros when traveling to Ireland, I asked my husband for more specifics about his rental, knowing he had been asked if he wanted his credit card billed in euros or US dollars. Then I went on-line to the Easy Tour Ireland myself and, right there under their FAQs, it is stated exactly how to make sure your credit card gets billed in euros rather than US dollars. So to folks to whom this is important, take a look at what Easy Tour Ireland's website says.

I would think that the 3% difference is the minor detail required. What about the rest of the hire and return process, driving experience and other point relating to the car??

Tony, since it was The Husband who had this rental--and he's NOT one to share much--I can only say that he did not complain about the hire and return process at all, which speaks volumes to me that it went quite well. He said that driving in Ireland cities is much like driving in The City (we live in Upstate New York and he's referring to NYC) as it is a pain in the you-know-what during what he refers to as golfing season. He was on a golf tour and played Lahinch with some buddies of his that he plays with all over the world. He really didn't elaborate on the narrowness of the roads (as i have read about on the forums) but did say the small towns with weekday traffic was the comparison he made to driving in The City with cars, lorries, and heavy traffic. Are you getting a picture of this "barely verbal" individual??

He rented a small manual transmission vehicle and I can only guess that it performed well for him, again, as he didn't complain about it!

Sounds like a man after my own heart, only moan if you need to moan.

Glad you had a good time and better still a good car hire experience.
