Easy Bus from CDG to Paris
Hi everyone,
Does anyone have any experience using the Easy Bus to get from CDG into Paris (drop off is just off Ave de l'Opéra). I put in my arrival date in August and the price is 4,98€ for 2 seats on the bus. It seems like a great price and I'm wondering if anyone out there has used this as a way to get into Paris. Thank you! |
hi, that service is new. There was someone else on Fodors who was planning to use it, I was hoping she'd report back but it might not have happened yet.

Hi all,
Just used the easyBus service in Paris this weekend with my wife. We paid 4.49 euros each on the way in, and 3.59 euros each on the way back. Fantastic value! Our flight arrived early, and we made our way to the collection point in Terminal 2 and managed to get on an earlier bus at no extra charge. The minibus was comfortable, and there were 10 people on it. The driver loaded our luggage and offloaded it the other end. He was friendly and helpful. The journey into Paris from the airport took 50 minutes. On the way back, we arrived at the bus stop about 10 minutes before the time the bus would leave and there were 7 people waiting. The bus turned up 5 minutes before the time. It was a different driver who was also friendly and helpful. The journey back to the airport took 65 minutes. All in all, an excellent experience and they seem to have a good professional set up. Would definitely use again and recommend! |
What is the seating arrangement on this "minibus?"
Thanks for the detailed and pertinent information Walkerbyname.
@Dukey1 I think there were about 16 seats for passengers, if that helps?
Yes, that helps a great deal. I've been in a lot of minibuses and obviously the seating arrangement can make a major difference in terms of comfort.
and what is with the at sign?
Oh Dukey, you know that people who want to appear modern do that now. ;-)
it's a custom from Twitter, and I've also seen it on various message boards, when people direct a comment at someone
No, not people who want to 'appear' modern, but people who 'are' modern and use Twitter. And before Twitter, the '@' symbol was used (as it is here) to direct a comment at or to someone, as Christina points out.
Ha ha -- Twitter "modern". Tiny limited messages for limited minds! Just as modern as the "factoids" on USA Today.
It also reminds me of the little notes we passed back and forth in class. Plus ça change....
Please, Mathieu, people who really are "modern" do not use Twitter. They direct one of their servants to spend time transcribing information so they can spend their own actually interacting with people face to face.
Thank you Walkerbyname for the detailed info and to the others for posting. I will be arriving at Terminal 1 and will reserve for August.
Walkerbyname, is the pick up point location included in your confirmation from Easy Bus? I assume they pick up from Terminal 1. Thank you! |
Hi All,
I am a frequent flyer and have been using easybus service since it started last month. I am happy to say that booking in advance has enabled me to get the cheapest transfers available. The drivers have always been friendly and have been quick to assist with my luggage. As can be expected, the traffic in Paris can cause problems in that the bus maybe slightly delayed on occasions; however on the whole I have found them more reliable and cost effective than, taking the train (prone to strikes and various other reasons for not running) - Hope this helps |
Hi flossylimejuice. It's interesting that you just registered and that your only two posts are about Easybus. Kind of strange for a "frequent flyer"!
lol Dukey. That's also another kind of 'modern'. These days face to face also involves two screens, one at either end :)
I have only just joined this site Kerouac, but thanks for the warm welcome!
Keep an eye out for my posts on Air France, Easy Jet and some of the hotels I have been staying in too... |
Oh believe me, I certainly will. Some of us don't have a life and spend all of our time noting anomalies, like people who seek two different threads about EasyBus to make exactly the same post.
