Easter Weekend Getaway from London - Bruges? Location Help
Hi, Late to the game but starting a 3 night getaway from London for Easter weekend (April 14, 3 nights). Travelling solo, enjoy sight seeing, strolling and dining. Don't need a lot of nightlife but want active city/town. Was thinking of Eurostar to Bruges (will return to Brussels another time). Budget is €150/night for accommodations. I know it is busy long weekend so hoping to book this weekend. Never been to Belgium but also open to other suggestions, too. Thanks.

Bruges is not active.
I'd recommend visiting one day in Brugge then sleep in gent.
Gent is one hour ir so by train. Very quaint.
No idea about accomidation though I hardly ever sleep elsewhere than my own bed in Belgium.try booking or hotels com.

Hello Gina:
I am planing to be in Antwerp on business on Monday 3rd and thinking of traveling on the previous Saturday to Brugges/Ghent/Antwerp and am having a dreadful time getting hotels in any of the above anywhere central at a reasonable rate (like yours).
Can I suggest you start by getting on to Hotels.com and find a central hotel FIRST before you proceed any further with you planning?
Personally, I am thinking I will end up i Antwerp, as it is larger and has a lot of hotels, not staying in the centre, and taking a train from there to either Ghent (my first preference) or Brugges.
regards Ger
