Easter in Europe with 14 year old
Hubby and I have travelled quite a bit in Europe and would like to take our 14 year old daughter for her first trip over Spring break.
Hubby is a Spanish translator and loves Spain. Daughter is taking Spanish but seems more interested in British Isles or Ireland. She is passionate about horses. Hubby has never been to Germany so that is a possibility. I figure this may be one of our last "family" trips. As it is, daughter's school is offering a spring break trip to Madrid and Paris and daughter is still "okay" going with us. We love to experience "Easter" in different parts of the world. Any place in Europe where you have experienced a special Easter? Thanks for any suggestions. |

How about Italy? I was in Rome over Easter last year and it was pretty special.

My friend Kitsa would suggest Greece...I think I need to go to Greece one of these days, myself.

Having already been to Rome, Paris and Munich, we are going to be in Seville this year for Easter. I think Rome would be the key buy on a first trip - not that its a big deal, but are you guys Catholic?

Yes, we are Catholic. In fact, many years ago when I spent my junior year abroad I was in Rome for Christmas. One year, hubby and I were in Spain the week before Easter and everything was crazy with locals travelling to be with family for the holiday. Italy or Spain are both sounding interesting and just this week my daughter decided Spain might be very cool because she is really getting into her Spanish 2 class. Hubby would surely be happy with that choice!

Easter, Spain and horses suggested Seville to me, but on checking I think I was thinking of the Pentecost feria for the horses:
