Easter break with 10 and 12 year old

We live in Germany and want to go somewhere warm for spring break. We went to Greece last year. My kids want a pool and some sights to see while we are there. We are open for anything.

Wow, there are so many places you could choose! Do you care how far you travel, or do you want to stay in Europe? Have you been to Turkey or Portugal? Both would be fairly warm at that time of year.

For Easter Week go to Torremolinos, a beach resort close to Malaga. Also you'll can see the remains of the Moorish castle (Alcazaba), the Picasso museum and the famous Eastern processions in Malaga. I like the Hotel Cervantes.

Thanks for the replies. We have not taken the children to turkey or Portugal, any tips on these two countries would be greatly appreciated. We did go to Malaga and the areas surrounding it last fall with the kids, any more suggestions?
Thank you!

Seeing that you have already been to locations that have been suggested I would suggest you give us a bit more of a clue and post where you have been to save duplication of ideas.

Since this posted under the Croatia forum (among others), I just want to point out that it will not be warm enough to swim in Croatia at Easter time, just in case you were considering it as a destination. I think you will have to go further south in April to get really warm weather.

Cyprus is a good choice too - Greek easter is the same as "ours" this year and it is a HUGE deal there.

My favourite part of Cyprus to base yourself is Paphos, for history and a good base for touring. Plenty of apartment complexes there with pools - with the kids it might be nicer to stay in a 2 or 3-bed apartment or villa than a hotel.

I would also recommend Cyprus - and spring is a good time to go as it is not unbearably hot, there are lots of spring flowers and the countryside is (comparatively) green. I would recommend the Troodos mountains as a great (and safe) place for kids to cycle. There are plenty of places where you can hire bikes.
