Early morning transportation from South Kensington to St Pancras
We will be taking the 5:25 AM Eurostar train from London to Paris on Monday, September 13th. Because of the early hour that we will be heading out from our hotel, would a taxi be our best route for transportation? Is there a more economical, but yet safe alternative that anyone can recommend? Also, would arriving at the train station by 4:30 be early enough or should we allow more time.
Thanks

I'd do a taxi . But you can take the tube from South ken or gloucester road to King's cross and St Pancras is right across the street. 4:30 is good even 4:45 is fine. Allow about 20 minutes from SK or GR to KC

The first tube service isn't until 5.42 so unless you want to deal with night buses then a taxi is the only route. You should see them along Cromwell Road even at that time of the morning but to be safe you can book one the night before for a small extra fee.

Definitely book a minicab, a taxi could be difficult to find at time, I had an early Eurostar once and had a terrible time finding a taxi near Warren St this was when the Eurostar went to/from Waterloo. I know the South Kensington Area, it is not lively or busy that early in the morning. Better still, stay at a htoel at St Pancras station the last night, to avoid the transfer to the stn.
