Early AirFrance check-in from a cyber cafe?

Since I'll be staying in an apartment w/no computer, it seems that my only option for an early check-in for return flight is at a cyber cafe. I've never used one, but I'm assuming they don't have printers available, which means I'm stuck printing Boarding Passes at the airport.

Am I missing something here? How have all of you other apartment-renters handled your early check-in procedures?

You don't say where you're flying from, but I assume as it is Air France that you are flying, you're leaving from France?

All the major airports in France will have Air France self-serve chack-in machines that'll print your boarding pass without causing you any noticeable delay.

Oh, just to add - most internet cafes have printing facilities.

Ah, yes - flying out of CDG. I realize that there are self-serve check-in facilities at the airport, but I was hoping to get the jump on things by doing it the day prior to my trip. I'd also hoped to not just check-in early, but also procure the elusive Boarding Passes long before arriving at the airport. But you say most internet cafes have printers! Well, if that's the case, then I should be all set. Thank you!

Anyone familiar with this cyber cafe in the 7th -- it's called Com Avenue and it's at 24 Avenue du Champs de Mars. Printing facities there?

Yes - they'll have printers. But checking in ahead of time really won't save you much time. You'll still have to go through the pre-screening interview, then the security lines -- so it will still be a real slog . . . . .

I believe the security interview only applies when flying a US carrier. Has anyone been subject to a security interview when flying Air France to the US?

Yes, I am pretty sure I had a security interview on Air France!

Don't forego e-checkin just for lack of a printer. Even if you are unable to print the boarding pass, your early check-in (and seat asssignment, we hope) would still be valid. Just don't count on it to save you time in airport lines. You'll probably get a new boarding pass at the airport anyway.

I've done e-check in for someone in a distant city when he was without a computer -- then called him backon the phone and told him it was done.

At what point did the interview take place?

I ask because I've only flown to non-US destinations on Air France when originating from CDG and haven't encountered the interview at check-in. When I've returned to the US via CDG on Air France, I've always originated elsewhere and haven't encountered the interview anywhere during my transit.

At AMS, the interview is conducted at the gate right before you go through gate security and only applies US carriers.
