Earls Court to Luton Airport
We have a Ryan Air flight leaving Luton Airport for Rome early morning. My understanding is that we can leave London on the tube connect to a train arriving at Luton and then a "free" bus will take us direct to the airport. I've tried to figure out time frames but both seem to take an hour. There are four of us traveling. Or should we take the Eurovison Bus to Luton from Victoria Station? We are all carrying backpacks, no additional luggage.

You can get one single through ticket Earls Court to Luton Airport Parkway, using Underground Picadilly line to St Pancras & then a mainline train - the through FCC run more often, but faster trains also run which start at St Pancras, make sure they stop at Airport about half of them do. The formerly free transfer bus now costs £1 (since about December 07). FCC trains also connect Luton directly with Farringdon & Wimbledon.

There was indeed a free bus for a few years, I used it a few times. It wasn't just for Ryanair customers. It may have been run or subsidised by National Rail to encourage rail travel - probably most people using it would come or go by train. It may well still be subsidised, £1 isn't much. In February I got off the bus at the station, bought my train ticket & was approached by uniform staff and asked if I'd come on the bus. I hadn't realised there was now a charge. Anyway they were ok about it, & when I asked they told me there had been a charge for a long time, ever since November or December!
