Well, everyone has made me feel great! and not a bad person at all! I am going to report the gifts I buy (and the amount) in the next month. Watch for the update! Thank you everyone!!!

Hey I got it! I said I would report if I got the item I wanted on E-bay. Well, I got it so I can tell what it is now. I got a (in excellent condition with tags still attached) Harrods Beefeater Teddy Bear (so cute!). He is 10 1/2 " high and I paid $11.50 for him! There is a Harrods website and this SAME teddy bear (only it is 19" high) sells for 130 British Pounds - that's a lot of American Dollars! So did I get a deal or what?? This is what I mean about buying gifts off e-bay. I have decided, however, that I would purchase several t-shirts while I am overseas. They shouldn't be too expensive and like someone said, easy to pack. But I am still looking for E-bay for nice (but bulkly presents). I may give the bear as a gift (or keep him for myself!)

Ima, sounds good to me; however, what if your friends read Fodor's?

This isn't the right one; there are lots of websites listed in the one I'm thinking of.

Hmmmmm....Ofcourse you won't say that you actually bought the presents in Europe...right???!!! You might say that the picture is of the Eifell tower but NOT say you bought it in Paris. I would hate to think your integrity could be bought so cheaply as the few dollars you might save!

Message: gogoellen. Please don't think I am being a "cheapsake". That is really not the point at all. If I buy off ebay (NiCE items from these countries) I felt that I could (1) buy a nicer gift that I could afford to buy over there. If I could spend $15.00 and get a $15.00 gift over there or spend $ 15.00 and get a $40.00 gift off ebay, I would opt for the $40.00 gift, as long as it was NEW. I would not buy a used gift! Also, I am going to be very limited as far as space in my suitcase to bring home presents; so if I find a larger gift I could buy ahead. I am going to get SEVERAl folks gifts; some I will purchase overseas; but some I may not. It would be a gift that DID come from that country. This has nothing to do with integrity. They are not going to ask if I bought it over there. And I am not going to tell them I did (or didn;t). Believe me IF I buy from E-Bay it will be very nice gifts. (the bear I purchased was received, had the Harrods' tag and was absolutly precious! ).
