Dutch- anyone write it?

I received an invitation from a gallery in Bruges. I would like to reply. It was written in Dutch, even though I spoke with the gallery owner in French & English.I drafted a few lines in reply and would like some help. I even checked it back & forth with a translation service, but you know how that goes, quirky at best. Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi N,

I suggest that you respond in French and English - whichever is your native tongue first.

hi ira! you are quick! It was more of a courtesy, as I was a guest in his country. And I enjoy the challenge. I wish to reply in Dutch.

From what I have seen of those translation services your reply would put them on the foor laughing.

Though I can read Dutch and carry on small talk I would never attempt to write it. I suggest that you write out your reply in English, post it here, and ask someone to put it into Vlams. There are minor differences between Belgian and Netherlands Dutch.

Better yet, just write back in your nstive script. Dutch speakers are proud of their ability in a half dozen languages.

My email is [email protected]

Then I'd go with Myriam - Dutch is my second language. Good luck!
