Dusseldporf or Brugge?

hi, planning a day trip, with my husband, from paris to either Bruggge, Belgium or Dusseldorf,Germany. heatd that both are great, any suggestions. which is more romantic?

Brugge, by a mile. Dusseldorf is just another city, O.K. for expensive shopping, but hardly romantic.
Brugge is also easier to get to from Paris.

I totally agree with Tony with the exception that I'm not so sure about the easier to get there.

Brugges hands down...it's the "Venice of the North"!

If you can't be romantic there, you may be with the wrong person!

I have no clue how you narrowed it down to those two. Throw a dart at a map? No question about it - Brugge is a mauch better choice. Especially if you are looking for romance as you indicate in your post.

Do you recommend going by car (is it a nice drive) or by train. how long is it by car and train?

Take the Thalys train; it takes approx. 3 hours.

Dusseldorf is a nice city but Brugge is much more quaint and scenic!
