Dusseldorf to Maastricht by train/bus - Help with DB.com online.

Hello.

I am interested in going from Dusseldorf to Maastricht by train/bus. The shortest travel times found on DB.com show a bus/train combination. It is not possible to view the fares on-line or purchase tickets in advance outside of Germany. Is this because it involves a bus and a train? Could someone give me an idea of what the fares might be?

Thank you in advance.

It may be that you're looking too far ahead. What I'm seeing on wwww.bahn.de for travel next week is the shortest journey time of 2:23, with changes of train at Herzogenrath and Heerlen, fare €22.30

Hi Patrick.

I checked for this coming week to see if that were the case. It's the same exact thing. It is possible to do the trip in as little as 1h39minutes by bus/train combo. The DB website doesn't allow purchase of this ticket for this coming Monday either.

Thanks.

Hi Menachem.

I don't this is the case as the trips that are by train only state the fares.

I'm perplexed now. DB.com is the website for Deutsche Bank, not Deutsche Bahn. What website are you looking at?

Yes, but that's the Herzogenrath connection, which - I think - is a recognized Euregio connection.

You can check the train fare from Roermond to Maastricht on ns.nl

and the bus to Roermond by searching for that connection. I'm seeing a discount price of 9.90 and a full price of 18.60

the cause of the fact that the deutsche bahn site doesn't calculate the total fare is because the Roermond - Maastricht leg is "foreign tariff".
