Dumb London Cab Question
After 19 visits to London, all but two on our own, we're planning #20. This time we'll have three family members with us.
We've never needed to know this before. Can five people ride together in one London black cab? |
Yes.

Yes, the standard black cab will take five passengers plus luggage. I think there's a slightly larger version that will take six
|
three facing forward and two in the jump seats (just so someone doesn't try sitting up front w/ the driver ;) )
|
Sitting facing backwards in one of the fold-down seats always makes me feel nauseous for some reason, especially when the taxi is whizzing up backstreets and accelerating/braking hard like some of them do.

Thanks, all.
I hope we can use public transport most of the time, but at the end of a day of sightseeing, a cab can be nice. |

For 5, a cab can be as cheap as the tube for some journeys . . . |
Don't forget the big red double-decker ones.... :)
