Dubrovnik City Wall Walk - Hours?

Hello - I've reached out to the tourism website for Dubrovnik but I have not heard back. Does anyone know if you can walk the walls of the city at any hour of the day? Is there only one entrance? I'd like to walk the walls late at night to get a sunset picture and lights of the city picture, as well as possibly an early morning picture. But I can't figure out from the websites if this is possible. Any help is greatly appreciated!

thanks,
Michelle

The walls are not open 24 hours a day, and it depends on what time of year you go. You should be able to see the hours here: http://citywallsdubrovnik.hr/bastina...idine/?lang=en

(I hope the link works!)

There is an entrance just inside the Ploce Gate and one at the Pile gate - I think there may be a third entrance as well.

rialtogrl has (of course) given you great advice.

I got some great sunset pictures, but only by timing my visit carefully.

Enjoy!

Hi have just returned from Dubrovnik old city. The walls close about 7pm I think..there are 2 entrances as mentioned above...the most amazing pics of the city can be taken from the battlement/fortress just outside the Pile gate overlooking the rugged bay there. There are a lot of steps up to the of the fortress but it's worth the climb...amazing views also from the cablecar that transports you to the top of the bastion behind the city.

I don't dispute that those are magnificent views. But I can NOT say that they were better than any of the other magnificent views I saw while on those walls, or that my pictures there were better than those taken elsewhere.
