Dublin Zoo

Has anyone been recently? Was it a good visit ?

I went in December of '10. We were fortunate to be visiting a relative who had a family membership that allowed him to bring us in as guests because it was fairly expensive and we might have skipped it otherwise.

It is a nice, well-run zoo, not huge. Some of the buildings are older but the animals seem well cared for and the exhibits are good. If you are traveling with children it is a good zoo. It does not compare to someplace like the Bronx or San Diego. We were traveling with our son who is mildly autistic and adores zoos, and we were glad we had gone. I did write a trip report that includes the zoo visit, along with a lot of other stuff.

You're welcome.

I wish there was a pm function on here, but post if you have questions. I can give you an email address.

There is the provision to Provide email address's in your profile section for Private messaging,, I would not put email address's onto public forum trust me my inbox this morning had 90 messages, only 10 of which I opened.. (even with my spam filters lots get through)

I'm a writer, so I have a semi-disposable one I use for fans that is posted on Amazon and Goodreads and a couple of other places. I also use it for stuff like this. If I were able to pm, I'd use a slightly more private one I have for beta readers and similar things. I don't give out the real one unless I really do know you or you are a major corporation/website.

The profile is only a little more private, frankly, since it's still open to all comers and just requires an additional click.

just requires an additional click. being the problem,, many forums link anonymously as a mid point between emails or private messages.. whilst I like Fodors forum the messaging and lack of an edit button are a negative.. I also have a secure email for trusted folk and contacts. My note was just an aside, didn't mean to take away from your thread.. :)

That's completely fine, and it is something a lot of people don't think about. I do only because I need to have a publicly available email, and while about three people have heard of me, I write non-traditional romances and someone might get bent out of shape.
