There is a great Persian order-at-the-counter place in the Temple Bar area. Zantoon or some such thing. I know it is the Persian word for Olive. Awesome lunch joint or very late night snack place.

Zaytoon, its nicer than your dodgy kebab place and pretty tasty. My other half is addicted to this place. i forgot about it! Very cheap and cheerful but hits the spot. they do some veggie stuff here as well.

Zaytoon! That's the place. Thanks! My mother-in-law is Persian so they whipped us up some authentic plates. Hmmmm...it was so good.

I'm glad other people have mentioned Zaytoon. I would kill for one of their kebabs right now! It's located at 14/15 Parliament Street, Temple Bar.

It's right across from the Porter house on the corner. Don't eat at the porter house too expensive and the food has gone down. Go in for a beer though they brew their own and have many other unusual beers to taste.
