Dublin restaurant

Does any one know of a romantic Dublin restaurant?

Thanks

David,
For great food and a nice atmosphere try Chapter One, Parnell Sq - one of the best restaurants in Dublin and very popular so book early, they also have special pre-theatre offers,

Cathy

Cathy: Thanks for the info, you are as always, a great source for info! We will be in Dublin for 3days, and I wanted a nice romantic resturant too! Any more suggestions? :-)

David,
There are several romantic restaurnats in Dublin but I recommended Chapter One based on quality of food etc - it is mostly Irish food etc. Another excellent restaurant is McGrattans on Baggott Lane .

I am not sure when you are planing to go but there is a taxi strike on in Dublin at the moment so perhaps if you are going to be in Dublin in the next few days then you should check with your hotel as to where they recommend within an easy distance of your hotel etc.

If you are planning on staying outside Dublin then any of the places listed in either the Hidden ireland Guide or the Blue Book Guide
www.hidden-ireland.com
www.irelands-blue-book.ie
www.ballymaloe.com (Great place but it is in Cork)
www.irishcountryhousesandcastles.com

Finally do make your reservation well in advance as Dublin is pretty busy, also pick up a copy of In Dublin magazine to see listings for the city evenst and places to eat,

Have a great time

Cathy

Cathy - many thanks indeed for your quick response.

I`ll definitely try and make a booking there.

I`m not coming until the end of the month, so hopefully the taxi strike will be over!

By the way, do you know Killarney at all? I`m going to be in that area around New Year and was wondering whether you had any views on activities at this time of year?

Many thanks

David

David,
HOpe you have made reservations for B&Bs or hotels not to mention restaurants - Dublin and Killarney are very popular around New Year etc. Re Killareny and what to do - if the weather is good then site seeing and hiking. Check out www.ireland.travel.ie for further details on Killarney,

Cathy
