Dublin Ireland Theatre Advice Needed

My daughter and I have 3 days in Dublin. Unfortunately they are Sunday-Tuesday so not as many theatre options. We are staying at Trinity University dorm. The Abbey Theatre has a drama that sounds interesting and the Gaiety Theatre has Riverdance. Would either or both be in safe night walking distance? Any opinion of which theatre or have another to recommend checking in the Trinity vicinity? Thank you! I promise a trip report when back, have appreciated the advice given.

Both theatres are very close to Trinity.

To get to the Gaiety, exit Front Gate and walk about 400m. through College Green and Dame Street, well lit main thoroughfares.

To get to the Abbey, exit Front Gate, turn right, walk along Westmorland Street, cross O'Connell Bridge into O'Connell Street, go as far as Abbey Street, turn right and you arrive at the Abbey Theatre - about 800m. total distance. There are other routes, but they are less well-lit and you might be annoyed by drug-users begging.

I'll leave the choice of show to you.
