Dublin in February?
I have an opportunity to visit Dublin in February.<BR><BR>worried about weather at that time of year. We would go for 6 days. Any comments/ suggestions? I have never been to Ireland<BR>

I was in Dublin in January last year. It was cold at times, but not unbearable. Most days, I was able to just wear a wool sweater and jeans. I was actually pretty fortunate, since there was virtually no rain on my 8 day visit in Ireland. There was sleet one night, but it didn't stop us from wandering over to the local pub to enjoy some live music. While it may be a little chilly, you won't hit crowds which is a great feature of winter travel. Go and have fun!

I have been in Dublin in both February and March. It is chilly, and most likely will rain and/or drizzle... but as stated above, it never gets horribly cold. Dress in layers, and bring rain gear. Frankly IMHO, winter is THE best time to visit Dublin, chilly, less crowded and less expensive. <BR>One of the best things is coming out of a tiny, blazing hot.. (generally smoky pub) and into the freezing air... it's just great. Have a lovely time.

We were there a couple of years ago mid-Feb. and it was cool, but not cold. I wore a sweater and a raincoat. It only rained a little 1 morning out of about 7 days.

Like Nike says "Just do it!"<BR>Best thing about Ireland at that time of year is the absence of American tour groups.<BR>Visit the Baggot Street Pubs!
