Dublin hotels

I need suggestions of a "quiet " hotel near the Temple Bar area...that includes a full Irish breakfast or have some restaurants nearby? Are there any with reasonable prices..not a budget hotel nor an expensive one also.

Tample Bari sn;t a quiet area - it's full of bars and clubs and very big on nightlife. I would look elsewhere for quiet.

Temple Bar, quiet?...no. Advise you get something within walking distance, but there's a lot more to see and do in fair Dublin than TB. Lodgings we like is across from pretty St. Stephen's green..and an easy walk to many major sites...Staunton's on the Green. Georgian town house, ask for a rear room overlooking a beautiful little park... around €90

Thank you..I realize Temple Bar is loud however I thought there mightbe a hotel close by ..but far enough away to not hear the carousing late at night....I am looking at places near parnell Street and the "top" of O'Connell Street across the river...thanks for the suggestion on Staunton's on the Green.

Thank you tower. I'm looking for a hotel that's central to everything a tourist would want for 3 days in Dublin. That looks like a nice one......and quiet, too.

Jury's Christ Church is a very short walk to the Temple Bar area yet far enough removed that you would not be bothered by it at all. The hotel is reasonably priced and always clean and comfortable. Also very close to Trinity, Grafton St., St Stephens Green, etc.

Be sure to stop at Queen Of Tarts, just up the street on opposite side of hotel, for great scones and breakfast.

Best Western Academy off of O'Connell St is conveniently located for the bus coming and going from the airport. It's on a fairly quiet side street though some of the rooms look out to the back where there is a failry loud bar. You would want a room that didn't face that direction. It's pretty affordable if you reserve far enough ahead. An easy walk to Temple Bar also.

Thanks, for suggestions, I took a chance on the Paramount...

Being honest, I would never recommend that a tourist stay in the Parnell St/O'Connell St area. It's simply a scuzzy area after dark, and there are far too many drug-addicts and other pan-handlers hanging about. I know that people might post that they stayed there and it was fine, but I live in Dublin and try to avoid that area at night wherever possible.

The Paramount will probably be okay, but it will in all likelihood be noisy. If you're young and you like the nightlife that Temple Bar has to offer then that's fine.
