How to get from Fuimicino to Civitavecchia?
Hello everyone,
My family and I will be going on a Mediterranean cruise departing from the Port of Civitavecchia. We will be arriving at the Fuimicino airport. I would like to know how best to get from the airport to the port. A car service is 140 euros, so we're interested in more economical options. I've read about using the train, but am wondering how easy it is. I'm rather concerned about how my mom will do with the train ride -- she's 60 and has some mobility issues.
Thank you kindly for your help and expertise!
Best,
Karina

The local FR1 train (not the Leonardo Express) departs every 15 minutes from FCO (8€). You would take the FR1 to Trastevere where you would change trains to Civitavecchia. There are 1-2 trains per hour from Trastevere to Civitavecchia (4.60€ for most trains). Total travel time will be about 1 1/2 hours.
Taxis to Civitavecchia from FCO are a set fee of 120€ which should be for four people including luggage. You must make sure to get in an official taxi.

There is bus service between the Fiumicino airport and Civitavecchia departing at 11:00 a.m., 3:00 p.m. It's a one-hour journey.

Hi everyone,
Just wanted to say THANK YOU for your help!!
I think we will be taking a car service upon arriving in Rome. After a very long trip (~ 1 day), a quick, easy, and direct ride will be a relief.
I am now researching options in getting from Civitavecchia to central Rome. To save, trains and buses are preferred.
