Dublin hotel
 

Looking for a hotel/apartment in Dublin for march. Family of two adults and two children. Budget of $150-$200/night.<BR>

I just returned from a weekend in Dublin - it's a great city with interesting sights and very friendly people! Just be careful when booking your hotel - we stayed at the Academy Hotel which has a pub next door. It was very loud for most of the night (past midnight) which made it very difficult to sleep! Too bad because it was in a good location and very reasonably priced. But I would not stay there again - two sleepless nights made our last day exhausting.

Hi Michael, <BR>We tried to book a "family suite" at the Christchurch Jury's Inn when my family of 4 were in Dublin June 2000. <BR>I'd seen several recommendations for it as a good place for a travelling family on a budget. We were also looking in your range and places in the city at that price were hard to find. We tried booking in Feb for June but they were full. We ended up in a lovely B&B in Drumcondra but would have been able to get much much more of the 3 days and 2 nights we were there had we been in the city. Once there, seeing the Jury's at Christchurch location, it would have been a gret spot for us. The hop-on/hop-off bus tours stop right there and it's near so many places of interest. Look into it for current price and you might have better chance with March availablity. Best of luck and have a great trip. My kids (9 and 13) loved it!<BR>Marylouise

Michael,<BR> One tip if you do take the hop-on/hop-off tour....(a great way to get around and see the sights)....I was grateful (in June!) to have a pair of those little stretchy gloves and a headband for the open air top of the double decker bus.<BR>Marylouise

Check out The Blooms in Temple Bar. There website doesn't seem to be working right now but you can get their email and phone # at http://www.temple-bar.ie/flash/maptbp.htm<BR>They are #2 icon on the map. They have a flat rate for rooms up to three people and I think you can add more.<BR><BR>Bill

Recommend Molesworth Court Suites, spent 3 nights there last Oct. We had a 2 bdrm apartment w/ kitchen and small LR, bath. Nice and great location. I believe it would be in your price range. They have their own website.
