dublin bed and breakfasts
friends ,do any of you have a recommendation for a bed and breakfast in/near Dublin.we'd prefer in the 30-40 euro (per night ,per person) price range.
thanks for any input |
Calvo,
That is a tall order in Dublin, as lodging is quite dear there. However, I usually stay at the Abberley House,http://www.abberleyhouse.ie/, which is in that budget range. Perhaps Padraig or one of the other Fodorites who are more familiar with Dublin might have other suggestions. Slan Beo, Bit |
Not I! I never use B&Bs in Dublin. I have free beds at my disposal.

calvo2,
You might want to check out IrelandYes or IrelandExpert, both ladies have a list of recommendations. |

My daughter and I stayed here in March. The rate at that time was €40 pp. We were very happy with it. The room was large and clean. The location was good, very convenient for catching the bus into the city centre. |
I am sure both Bit's and CAPH's recommendations are fine. They are both in the same part of the city.
One consideration is finding your way there when arriving by car from the Cork direction. It's much easier to find Willow House. |
what a great world we live in ,when total strangers are so friendly and helpful.
thanks you so much. if you are ever in philadelphia area or need Spain advice (i"m a high school spanish teacher) i hope i can be of assistance |
Calvo, that's the way it works. Not necessarily a straight trade of help between you and me -- more like a pool of help into which we each put something and from which each of us can draw as needed.

We recently stayed at Drynam House in Swords. It was convenient to the bus (maybe 5 minute walk) and the fare into Dublin was about E1.50 (or less...so hard to get old and forget <g>). She says that it's a 5 minute drive to the airport and it only took us about 7 which is pretty good. We will definitely stay there again. Here's the link http://www.drynamhouse.com/ Kathie
