I am going to take a rough guess that depends upon traffic at 30 euro due to airport fees and bag charges. Could be slightly higher.

Are you going near a hotel? Take the air coach that drops at all the main hotels and is €7.00 euro per person.

Hello -- we had originally thought we would take the air coach, but after arriving on an all-night flight, a taxi seemed a necessary comfort for us. And it was! This was in Oct. '04, and sorry but I don't recall cost. I had been thinking 25 euro off the top of my head, and now seeing SiobhanP's comment of 30 euro, my memory is probably close.

At any rate, the taxi ride was worth it for comfort, assistance with baggage, and the friendly welcome and converation on the way to our Dublin hotel. The driver provided so much information that was helpful and useful regarding visiting Dublin, as well as driving in the city and the countryside (not to mention local sports converation that my husband enjoyed with him!).

Cheers,
Sue

I really like Dublin Taxi drivers. In 10 years living here I have met some characters and some people who gave great info even about stuff going on in my neighborhood that was not in the public domain. I was used to getting ripped off in Boston and NY by taxi drivers and had a low opinion of most from bad experiences but most here are really nice and honest with only an occasional bad egg. See how you feel when you arrive.

Just yesterday I took a taxi from the Mont Clare hotel (near Trinity College) to the airport. It was 20 euros with the luggage before the tip. On the way in we took the bus for 7E and that was quite convenient and comforable.
