Anyone who has spent any significant time in Madrid knows that some things are rather difficult. Finding people who speak English, getting fresh vegetables at a mid-range restaurant, and laundry. I spent a few days looking for a dry cleaner before I finally popped my head into a hotel and asked the concierge. He pointed me in the direction of Plaza de Espana where I live and helped me find a cleaner on Calle de los Reyes. From the Plaza de Espana metro, turn your back on the fountains and move NE up c/ de los Reyes. It will be on your right about 40 meters up the street.

What was the point of the post that he does not speak Spanish?

You are mixing apples and pineapples; laundry and dry-cleaning are two different things.

Laundry uses water + detergent to clean clothes while dry-cleaning uses a dry chemical process to clean without damage that can be caused by water and detergent.

What exactly were you looking for? In Madrid, there are dry-cleaners at dime/dozen. Laundry Facilities?...well that is another story....
