Driving toSeville. What to do with the car

Fou of us are driving from Costa del Sol to Seville. We don't mind walking aroung while in Seville since it is not recommended that one should drive around in Seville. Can anyone suggest where we can leave the car once we get there?

If it's a rental car, drop it off and pick up a new one when you leave. Why pay for something you're not going to need.

"Why pay for something you don't need?" On the other hand normally you get a much better rate for a week. Let's assume echo needs a car for 2 days, will stay in Seville 2 days, then needs a car again for 3 days. The week price for the entire thing would be FAR less than two rentals of 2 days and 3 days.

But echo is very unclear. Are you even staying in Seville overnight? Or are you talking about a day trip and just looking for a parking lot?

If spending a night or two where are you staying. Our hotel parked ours in the garage, and I don't even think there was a charge for it.

Agree simply to put the car in the hotel garage - we always do this and its the easiest. If you're going for just the day - simply find a garage close to the major sites.

IMHO - driving in Seville is no big deal - we had no trouble navigating - and there was nothing you could call traffic - at least compared to NY.

Last October we parked our car in a public underground parking garage near the hotel in the historic center. There is a map and directions at the hotel website.

It was reasonably priced and secure.

when we were there we just parked in a regular car park. It cost €14 for 24 hours.

Thanks everybody! It's going to be a day trip only. So leaving the car in a public parking lot seems to be the best option. We plan to go on a Sunday. Do you think traffic will be relatively lighter on Sundays?
Chris: Thanks for the Amadeus site. I will definitely look into the underground parking there.
Any other suggestion of public parking lot that's easy to drive to & within close proximity to popular sights? Detail driving directions will be appreciated, & we are coming into Seville from the east.

Well, you're obviously going to need a map.. Do you have your Micehlin map for Spain yet? Does it have an inset for Seville? Have you been to Mappy or via michelin yet?
