driving to Paris

We are renting a car for our Europe vacation. I know not to drive in Paris, but where could we leave our car, so that we can use the Metro while staying in the city? Our hotel does not appear to have parking facilities.

Call or e-mail your hotel for recommendations. Also, the detailed Michelin maps have the parking garages annotated on them.

Where are you staying? If you check the following site http://www.pageszoom.com/rc.cgi?lang=en type in your hotel address and this site will show you a detailed map of the street and of the neighborhood, including parking facilities in the area.

You need to find the street(s) near your hotel with free parking--there are bound to be one or two. Ask your hotel. By law, your car can be left there for up to 8 days without getting a ticket. Good luck.
