Driving through Italy - Venice/Bellagio and Bellagio/LaSpezia

We made the trip from Venice to Bellagio by car last September. We picked up our car at the rental office at Piazzale Roma about 10:00. It was about a 4.5 hour drive. We stopped at an Auto Grill for gas & to buy bottled water + panini to take away.
The drive from Lecco to Bellagio (about 22km) was not as harrowing as we had anticipated. The road was narrow & winding but we took it slowly. We travelled on a Saturday - not sure if that made a difference. We found a pretty spot along the lake shore to have our lunch.
We loved our stay in Bellagio. You will, too!
