Driving from Vienna to Cesky Krumlov

Looking for some advice and guidance on our drive from Vienna to Cesky Krumlov. Looking for a scenic and interesting route that shows us something interesting. Maybe a castle... Please let me know if you have an idea of what would be interesting. We don't want to arrive to late to CK as we only have one night there.

Thanks!

You could stop in the town of Rožmberk nad Vltavou near Cesky Krumlov and see Rožmberk Castle. Not sure if it is directly on the best route between towns, but if it is it might be worth a stop. Map it with Google Maps.

On the direct route (A22) from Vienna to Cesky Krumlov you might enjoy Schloss Eggenburg and Burg Heidenreichstein. If you take the S5, Stift Zwettl and Schloss Weitra are worth viewing. And, just north of Cesky Krumlov is Hrad Hluboka nad Vltavou, quite a fairy-tale inspired structure.
