Driving from Venice to Ancona
 

Hello, I am making this drive in order to catch the ferry in Ancona for croatia--Has anyone drivin this route/ it basically hugs the coast. Its about 200 miles, but i just wanted to make sure its mostly highway/expressway speed driving. I need to make it in 5hrs, if I can do 90, all the way down, im golden. fyi-i am getting started at about 5pm

I assume you are considering the A4 from Venezia to Padova, then the A13 towards Bologna continuing on the autostrada to Ancona? Avoid the E55 south from Venice which does hug the coast, it is SLOW moving, being the main route for local traffic.
