Driving from Portree to Torridon
I'm firming up my June itinerary. After 3 nights in Portree, I would like to spend 2 in Torridon. On the way, of course, I want to sidetrack to see the exterior of Eilean Donan.
Any tips on this drive? Comments on how long it might take? Anyone stayed at the Inn (not the hotel) at Loch Torridon? RLC3--do you happen to be reading? |
The drive is beautiful -- will take about 3 hours plus any stops.
Sorry, haven't stayed there so can't help w/ that. |
Three hours is doable. I promised DH we wouldn't have any of those 6 hour drives we did in 1998.

Then you'll have to re-thing the drive from Torridon to Mull :)

It's easy and beautiful. I can't remember timings but I'm sure 3hrs is plenty. If you click on my ID there is an older report (not the Glasgow one) about the highlands which has links to pics of the Torridon area and a write up of the drive around the Applecross peninsula.

Thank you both.
I'll look up your ID. Janis, I'll go back to my other thread. |
