Hi

You don't say what time of year.
Winter is beautiful, but days are short.
Summer is roughly June 21 to Aug 15, when restauraThe E6 follows the coast with many small resorts. You will see lots of trees too !

Good food at the old post house Tannums Hede, and a useful halfway stop is around Ljungskile. Stay and eat at Villa Sjotorp.

Ljungskile and Orust info here -

http://www.turisthotellet.nu/
http://www.nosundsvardshus.se/
http://www.orust.se/uk/
http://www.slussenspensionat.se/eng.html
http://www.bastkusten.se/
http://www.ljungskile.nu/
http://lyckornabrygga.nu/

It is a worth a diversion over the islands of Orust and Tjorn (one ferry is just South of Ljungskile to Svanesund)...... visit Mollosund.

Interesting food on the island of Karingdon, but only reachable by ferry.

Gothenburg is worth some time. You can take a boat trip to get to know it.

Enjoy

Peter

The stretch is long. Not dull, but not especially interesting either. For me it always has been a needed but not wanted 'transport' leg. If time is no problem, maybe a ferry connection to Fredrikshavn or Hirtshals on Jutland Denmark from Oslo or Larvik might be an option. Even without mountains and fjord, the Danish landscape is very special.
Bjorn, Oslo
