Driving from Granada to Sevilla

We are planning a trip to Spain in September of this year and are currently working on our itinerary. At this point, we are considering driving from Granada to Sevilla without an overnight stop. Do you recommend such a drive and, if so, how long will it take? If you don't recommend driving straight through, do you have suggestions for an overnight stop along the way?

My husband and I made that very drive a few months ago. It is a very easy drive - all main highway. It took less than 3 hours I think. We went on Michelin's website and got directions before leaving the states. The directions will tell you exactly how long it will take. Have fun in Granada. It was a highlight of our trip.

Mamc:

We drove this as well. Totally doable!

It is very dark at night for driving. Try and get that overnight stay in if you can.

Happy Planning.

We did a very leisurely drive from Granada to Sevilla spending four nights on the way. Ronda is a great place to spend a night or two. We also stayed in Arcos, but I don't recommend that since I think the time is better spent in Seville.

The drive from Granada to Cordoba on the N-432 is quite scenic, and will only take about 3 hours if you drive straight through without stopping at any of the quaint villages, castle ruins, etc..along the way. If it's not already on your agenda, a stop in Cordoba for lunch and a visit to the must-see Mezquita would be my suggestion. From Cordoba, it's probably aboput an hour's drive to Seville. There are also other interesting stops between Cordoba and Seville, like Carmona.
