Driving from Bilbao to Frankfurt
 

We’re moving from Bilbao to Frankfurt and planned to do it by car in 5-6 days to visit some places on the way and make the 1500km more enjoyable. Any recommendations? Thanks!

Rather than using the direct route up the Rhone valley with all its truck traffic, take A75 through the Auvergne.

It is easy to visit the Strasbourg area and parts of Switzerland from Frankfurt, so visit places in Southern France to which it will be more difficult to return, possibly Provence.
