Driving from Berlin to Prague and Vienna

My husband and I are visiting Berlin, Dresden, Prague and Vienna next month. We will be driving. Any advice? Any hotel or restaurant suggestions? What about sights that should not be missed?

Thank you for your help.
We did Berlin, Dresden & Prague in November. Berlin has so many historical site--Checkpoint Charlie Museum was one of my favorite, Potsdam, Info Box, so many WWII & Cold War. Kurfustendam St. has lots of shopping. Dresden is completely rebuilt as was destroyed in war. It has a lot of shops & interesting places, of course Meissen is nearby if you are into China. We stayed at Gastehaus Hesse. It is about 10 min. drive from downtown (south) on the Elbe. Because our friend lived nearby we got a deal, but with breakfast it can't be over $50 for 2. It is very nice & quiet. It was a ferry crossing years ago. I would recommend you email AVE,
Accommodations in Prague at [email protected] We had a great little pension for $35/night for 2 including breakfast, but you may be too late for it as it books quickly. AVE has very helpful people & quality places. You wil love all those places. See the Charles Bridge at night in Prague.
You may want to check on driving from Germany to Czech Republic to Austria--some permits are required & some agencies won't let you take a car to CR because of theft.

If you're in Dresden don't miss the "Grunes Gewolbe", which is a museum/collection of jewelry, very interesting and very elaborate. Dresden (what they have rebuilt in the original style) is still a very pretty city, I was absolutely surprised. The "Alte Meister" museum in the Zwinger is also very nice.

We will be driving from Frankfurt to Dresden, then Hamburg to Frankfurt. Do you know where I can get directions (anything like AAA TripTik) for Germany? Can't find any websites.
AAA only does it for North America. Any suggestions?

For Bob: Try www.euroshell.com for maps in Europe or use a search engine like "yahoo" , which has "Maps" on their home page.
