Driving conditions january from perpignan to foix saint gaudens.

I will do a wintertime drive from barcelona to lourdes france in a rental car. Just want info from previous travelers regarding Hwy D117 going to Foix then St Gaudens to A64 to lourdes. Are there high cliffs, narrow roads, or dangerous paths to drive.

This is the third post you've made asking the same question. The answers are all the same - it's a BAD idea! What don't you understand? Asking over and over isn't going to change the answers.

The D-117 from Foix to Saint-Gaudens will take you past La Bastide-de-Sérou and through Saint-Girons, in the Salat River valley, and should be a fairly easy drive in January. The highest elevation along the route is near Cos at Col de Bouich (under 600 meters), a few minutes east of Foix, a popular bicycle route.

You can expect some snow in the Pyrenees (the nearest skiing area is about 40 km to the south of Saint-Girons), but probably only a mix of rain and snow at the lower elevations, unless it's really cold. But even with a little snow, the road will be open.

Pick up the Michelin Map #525 Midi-Pyrénées.

Thank you for the response Robert. I will look at the michelin map you suggested. Also take StCirq response that it appears to be a bad idea. Thank you.
