Driving between florence & venice - interesting stops?

we have a day to make it from florence to venice by car.

any interesting stops along the way not to be missed?

Any one (or more) of these towns - Mantua, Verona or Vicenza.

I second Verona, also Bologna, also Padua or Ferrara.

None of those stops compare to your destination--get there ASAP and enjoy.

bob - i like that advice (was interested in a ferrari factory tour in modena - but appearently only owners can do that)...

Ravenna for its mosaics, Bologna. If you like ceramics, Faenza for its ceramics museum.
