Drivers Rome to Positano

Could anyone recommed a good private driver or company that could transport my husband and I from Rome to Positano and back? There are many on the web, but it's hard to know who is reliable. Thanks for your help!

Hi Lucky - These Rome companies get good reviews.

www.limoservicerome.com
www.airportshuttle.it

Are you going there and back in a day? If not, it would make more sense to use a Positano-based driver for the return.

These get good reviews:

www.positanocarservice.com
www.flaviogioia.com
www.limocarservice.net
www.benvenutolimos.com (Praiano-based)

- or these (- Sorrento-based)

www.tourofitaly.com
www.francescomarrapese.com
www.cuomonet.it

I strongly recommend you shop around for comparative quotes.
They can vary from € 280-400 + between Rome and Positano.

Hope this helps ...

Steve

Hi L,

We were pleased with the service from
www.cuomonet.it

You can save several hundred Euro by

A. Take the train to Naples and have a driver take you to Positano from there.

B. Take the train to Salerno, transfer to the ferry (about 3 blks) and take that to Positano. Your hotel can arrange for transfer from the dock.

The ferry ride is very scenic.

Train scheules are at www.trenitalia.com.

For Ferry schedules Positano – Amalfi - Salerno (P.zza della Concordia):

We've used tourofitaly.com many times and been very happy with them. We've also taken tours w/ them of the Amalfi Coast area and Pompeii, both of which were well worth doing.
