Driver on Amalfi Coast

My husband and I will be traveling in Italy in the beginning of June--ending up in Positano. I would like to hire a driver to help us explore the Amalfi Coast. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Hi,

We used the following two drivers last June and were very pleased with both:

Giancarlo Gargiulo, Tour of Italy Car Service, www.tourofitaly.com, cell# 333 5226029;

Rosario Somma, Sommatours, email: [email protected] Cell# 333 7397044.

Good Luck.

We've used Giovanni Gargiulo of Tourofitaly.com many times, and really enjoy spending the day with him. He's reliable, hilarious, and a good source of information about the area.

We used Renato--he was awesome...met us at the Naples train station-right outside of our train! Great service & very professional.

Hi, I hired Aldo's Taxi for a day on the Amalfi Coast from a cruise. It was wonderful and reasonable. We started where the tour buses end, so no place was crazy crowded. Aldo took us up into the hills for a lunch that was really incredible, not to mention a view of the coast that was to die for! He is classically Roman gorgeous (and a very nice married man with kids), and gave us a history and geographt lesson of the region that was most interesting. Email him at [email protected] or google Aldos taxi. P.S. You're smart to get a driver.

Thank you for the information! I figure it would be best for both my husband & I to be able to enjoy the scenery by leaving the driving to someone else.

We'll be staying 3 nights in Positano. One day for sure will be devoted to Pompeii as it is something I've always wanted to see. Other must sees?????

Ravello is a must do....the view is spectacular!
