Driver in Rome or Hills and Roads?

I have seen many recommendations for Hiils and Roads ,but also for Driver in Rome. Prices seem to be fairly comparable for travel from Siena to Rome making stops along the way. Based on Fodorites recommendations we are leaning towards H&R, but I have to say Driver in Rome provided a much more timely response to email which makes me think they might be more responsive in general. If anyone has tried both companies, I would love to know if one was more flexible on the day of travel, more prompt, provided better recommendations as far as stops along the way and restaurant suggestions. Was one driver more personable? You know, just general comparisons.

Thank you kindly in advance. This forum and its lovely participants have made planning this trip so much more enjoyable. It's like having an extremely well traveled friend who can always be counted on for good advice.

We did several day trips with Luca Garapa of Hills and Roads a few years ago. I didn't realize he was willing to drive from Siena to Rome.

We still rave about the trips we took with him. He is delightful company, very knowledgeable, extremely personable. He probably isn't answering e-mails because this is the peak of the summer season, and he may be swamped with clients.

Luca is based in Siena. I haven't heard of Driver in Rome and haven't seen any posts about the service. I would assume Driver in Rome would be based in Rome and have to drive to Siena to pick you up (a three hour drive). If you wanted to be picked up around 8am they would have to depart Rome at 4:30 or 5 to pick you up.

You could consider renting a car for they day. Pick up in Siena and drop at Chiusi or Orvieto if you didn't want to drive into Rome. You could visit towns inbetween - Pienza, Montepulciano or whatever interests you.

You want a Siena based driver---Luca is just one.

Luca comes highly recommended from many Fodorites - especially me. I agree wholeheartedly with all that WWK wrote above about him. He does do transfer services from the Siena area to Roma and back. But they are not really sightseeing journeys, they are transfers. His tours, whether completely private, or the new "joinable" tours with small groups which are less expensive, is what he (and his team) do from the Siena area and around. Again, very very highly recommended.

I too am quite sure that he is swamped with clients in this very busy season and probably has little time to check e-mails. For when did you need this tour/transfer? If it is not in the near future, perhaps send another mail and/or give it a few more days.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I guess I have my answer, don't I?Luca did send an answer and was kind enough to accommodate our request with stops I don't think I could ask for a more resoundingly positive yes from this forum. Your guidance is much appreciated.
