Driver in Florence

Can someone tell me if 380 Euros is too much to pay for two people to tour the Tuscany wine region. Based on recommendations from this board, I contacted Dario, but he is booked up for the week that we will be there. He suggested I contact a gentleman named Paolo with another company, which I did. Paolo will charge us 380 Euros to be our Driving Guide on a 7 hour tour of the wine region. I just need to know if this price is reasonable. Also, I am looking for suggestions on wineries to visit.

That sounds reasonable. We paid around $500 for two people to visit three wineries and included lunch. We booked through an intermediary (translation we paid more) so I'm sure you could get it for less if you went direct.

We used Lorenzo at Chianti Mania and he was great. Very knowledgeable. Only thing I would change if doing over is tell him what type of wineries you would like to see (large, small, chianti, vernaccia de san G). We saw a large commercial one that didn't hold alot of interest for us.

Highly recommend if you want another idea for a guide:

Lorenzo at www.chiantimania.com
