Driver-guide to Montenegro
We will be in Dubrovnik in early October and would like to do a day trip to Montenegro. Could anyone recommend a driver-guide?

I do not know of any driver-guides for this trek, but this day trip is easy to do on your own (and, I am sure, a lot cheaper) with a rental car-- especially in October as the crowds should be minimal.

A good, reliable local company for private tours is Florio Car. The website is www.dubrovnikcars.com.

We recently took a day trip to Montenegro in the beg. of June. We used Amico Tours, the price was very reasonable (60 euro, plus tip and meals). there were only 3 other people on the tour, so it was a very personel tour. ( i think the max is 8) the guide was excellent, i dont remember his name, but he was a young man, with alot of great knowledge. We loved montenegro, and i am sure you will to

We hired Nikola Serkovnic ( phone 385/0/98 243-305 and email address [email protected].) for our day trip to Montenegro. We didn't contact him until we arrived in Dubrovnik. He showed up at our hotel with a Benz and drove us to Montenegro through a side road to bypass the heavy border traffic on the main highway. He was very knowledgable and entertaining. His English was quite good except for the fact that he used the word "be" for is,are, was, were. You be happy, we be crazy, he be very nice, etc ... but it didn't stop him from being so entertaining in his narration. We enjoyed learning about all the history and stories about each place. He charged 200 euros for the entire day, all inclusive for all 4 of us.
