Driver from Milan to Santa Margherita

Does anyone know of a driver or company that could get us from the Milan airport to SML? How much would it cost. I'm just worried with jet lag, getting to the train station, transfering etc... We just want to get there. We will be renting a car at some point, but that area seems to have good bus service so I didn't think we needed it until we move on to Tuscany.

There is a bus service to Genoa, but I do not have the details--maybe Steve or GAC will. From there, a taxi or train would not be bad. A driver all the way would cost a bundle--let me guess 300E.

A bus would be great!

There is a bus service from Malpensa to Genoa:

http://www.volpibus.com/servizi/index.htm

Click on the picture of the airplane and it will tell you that there is a daily bus that leaves Malpensa at 11:30 a.m., costs 15.50 Euros and arrives at what I assume is the main railway station in Genoa at 2:25 p.m.
Tickets can be bought on the bus.

The train is not as big a hassle as you think.

The bus is sitting in front of the airport to take you there. Then, the train whishs you off with either a trian change in Genoa or simply a stop.

We stayed at the steps of the train station and loved the view. Great town.

I know and I usually take trains in Italy, but typically I land in Rome, stay for a few days then tackle the Italy trains. The bus sounds great and I will look up the site now.THANKS

It is a easy 50 minute shuttle ride from Malpensa to Milano Centrale train station and then about a two hour train ride to Santa Margherita. We did this ride last fall and it did not require a change of trains. I would think a private car would cost hundreds of Euros.
