driver for Providence

I will be arriving in Marseille on a cruise ship with 11 hours in port. I would like to visit areas such as Gordes, Cassiss, Roussillion and surrounding areas. Can anyone suggest how we should travel to and around these areas. Should we hire a driver?
Does anyone have a suggestion on a websit for drivers? Or should we take a train/bus to these areas. Does anyone have any suggestions on any others areas around those town that are charming or very scenic?

I've never been to Provence region of France, but elsewhere I've never had a problem driving myself. I recommend you rent a car for the day if you want the freedom to explore.

A good, detailed paper map of the region will be worth it's weight in gold - something with more detail than a rental car co map is imperative.

My favorite website for driving in Europe is viamichelin.com. It'll even figure out what you mean if you misspell a city. (although it won't figure out Provence from Providence - I just checked :) - no need for the comment from mm - we know what you meant)

Yes we knew, including me, what bettyf was asking.

Nice recommendation for the Michelin website.

I'd recommend hiring a car and driver from one of the car-rental agencies, possibly Hertz or Avis.
