Driver Amafli Coast
Looking for a driver from Napes-Revello beginning of July. Any recommendations would be appreciated!
Also we are in Amalfi Coast 5 days..no car...would you recommend a driver for a day? Thanks! |

Especially in July I would not hire a driver for the day. You will spend much of your time stuck in traffic behind tour and local buses.
When I visit at the end of June, I travel almost exclusively by ferry. The views are gorgeous and no traffic or bus fumes. www.travelmar.it for ferry schedules. |

Sergio charged 4 people with luggage from Positano to rental car at the airport in Naples...110 euros.....and acted as a tour guide as well!

Traffic is horrendous up and down the coast in July. Try to take a boat whenever possible. If you absolutely MUST take a car, get a very early start. But even then,, be prepared for a very long day behind trucks and buses.

Another vote for Sergio - I always use him to take us from NAP to Positano.

Last summer we used Fabrizio from Amalfi-Drive Limo to take us from our hotel in Naples to Ravello, stopping at Pompeii for several hours (book for longer than you think you will need if you go this route). The whole experience was great., Fabrizio was professional, courteous and informative. Several days later we used the same company to drive us from Ravello to Salerno. No problems.

You might also want to try "Amalfi Coast Car Service by Claudio Lucibello" I believe that he lives in Ravello.
He is prompt and reasonable for that area. We used him several times and used one of his partners to return from Ravello to the airport. |
