Drive time-Neuschwanstein to Mainz, Germany?

Hi, What would be the time it would take to drive from Neuschwanstein to Mainz on the autobahn 70mph? I am having a difficult time finding any distance charts with drive times in Germany. Thx in advance!

Distance charts? They are so last century!

Any decent online map will give you your answer... try http://maps.google.com

Type in your 'to' and 'from' locations in the boxes once you select 'directions'.

http://viamichelin.com also works well.

Driving times are usually a bit optimistic for both.

And forget those old fashioned tables! LOL

About 4 hours in good traffic.

Please do not drive 70 mph - you will be a hindrance. Either roll with the trucks at 90 km/h or drive 130 km/h, at least when you are passing.

Many legs of that road trip will have speed limits.
Only the first part from Füssen to Ulm on A7 will be a fast ride.
From Ulm to Stuttgart and further to Karlsruhe on A8 you can expect several sections with major roadworks and speed limits low as 50mph/80kph. In addition, A8 is a busy motorway with traffic jams common in the Stuttgart area.
Going from Karlsruhe North, and around Mannheim on A5, A6, A61 will also be a drive with lots of traffic.
The remaining leg on A61 and A63 will be less busy.

4.5 - 5 hours should be a reasonable estimate, plus additional time for breaks.
